Techno-Wootz™ Damascus
Bar Stock

Techo-Wootz™ Damascus Steel is now available in bar stock. Bar stock comes in 12 inch, 24 inch and 36 inch lengths and there are a number of patterns and alloys from which to choose.

Random Patterns: Pool & Eye, Clouds & Rain, and Meteoric Widmanstatten (faux)

Developed Patterns: Diamond & Rose, Large Celtic Knot, Tornado, Snakeskin, and Long V

Premium Developed Patterns: Spider Web, Small Celtic Knot, and Running S

Available Techno-Wootz™ alloy characteristics:

B17 – Tough, oil-hardening, suitable for longer blades. Medium carbon content. 3-4% chromium, some vanadium. Stock removal only.

B24 – Water-hardening, suitable for forging. Do not heat above 1500°F. Medium carbon content, low alloy content. Particularly suitable for traditional Japanese blades.

B52 – Air hardening, 3-5% chromium, 1.1-1.4% carbon. Recommended for folding knives. Stock removal only.

Other alloys/patterns by custom order.

PLEASE NOTE: Bar stock pricing includes heat treating and Therma-Cycle processing. Bar stock must be returned to Angel Sword after grinding/shaping for heat treatment to bring out the pattern in the Techno-Wootz™ Damascus steel. Orders not returned for heat treatment will not achieve optimum results.
